AGBU Toronto’s annual Talent Show is an event that young musicians along with their families and teachers look forward to.
On March 15, 2015 its latest edition was held in the Babayan Hall of the Alex Manoogian Cultural Centre. 18 young people, with ages ranging from five to late teens took centre stage singing, or performing on a musical instrument, to the great delight of their loved ones. The varied repertoire covered classical piano and guitar compositions, beloved Armenian songs and selections from Broadway musicals. The enthusiastic applause from the audience is a testimony to the success of this AGBU Toronto initiative that allows the community to discover budding talent, gives the developing music students an opportunity to gain stage experience while displaying the fruit of their hard work.
Kudos to the young artists, their teachers, parents and AGBU Toronto for keeping up with this delightful tradition.
All the participants were treated to tokens, which included a certificate acknowledging their participation and a pin commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Genocide.
