A heartfelt and sincere thank you to our Toronto community for your generous contributions to our Children’s Cheerful Christmas initiative this holiday season. This fundraising effort was aimed specifically towards bringing a smile to the faces of as many displaced children from Artsakh for Christmas as possible.

With your support, we were able to raise enough funds to provide 500 children from Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor with warm clothes, toys and books.

In addition to toys, clothes and treats, they were also given the first-run copies of the classic ‘Goodnight Moon’ in Armenian. This book was made possible by Cascade Press, individual donors and a grant from the AGBU Education Department, with the goal to distribute copies to children impacted by the Artsakh War.

While supporting 500 children for Christmas in a matter of a few weeks is no small feat, the reality is that there are still thousands of displaced children.  We would like to continue helping and reaching as many as we can.
